First and foremost, I hope that you are staying safe and practicing social distancing as much as possible.
Over the weekend, Governor Murphy issued two executive orders Saturday canceling all non-approved gatherings and closing non-essential retail businesses. New Jersey REALTORS® has been working to get clarification form the governor's office on how Executive Order 107 impacts the real estate industry.
We will continue to monitor and share updates with the membership as they become available. Please view the Featured Area on our homepage for the latest news:
If you do choose to open your office, please follow the CDC guidelines carefully. If your office is open, it should operate with the smallest number of individuals as possible. As a reminder, all businesses must accommodate their employees for telework or work from home arrangements wherever possible.
In addition, NAR has also been working tirelessly in response to the legislative activity aiming to provide economic relief as a result of the COVID -19 crisis. NAR has sent letters this past week and are working closely with state associations to classify real estate services as essential services in emergency declarations. They are also working with the Department of Labor to get clarification on calculation of employer thresholds for paid leave passed in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Discussion will continue this week - updates will be provided as they arise.
NAR has issued an “Open House Guidance During COVID-19.” Click here to review.
Should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you.
