Wood-Ridge, NJ – (September 19, 2019) – Greater Bergen Realtors® and Liberty Board of Realtors®️ along with NJ Realtors came together to host their first regional VP town hall meeting at the Fiesta in Wood-Ridge, NJ. This was a free event for all Realtor®️ region 5 members.

 Douglas Tomson, NJ Realtors®️ Vice President of Government Affairs led an informative session focused on current legislative issues affecting the state of New Jersey. Among the topics discussed, were flood insurance, State and Local Tax deduction (SALT), lead paint and other topics affecting home buyers, sellers and the real estate market in general.

A panel of NJ Realtors® leadership addressed the membership on some of the hot topics affecting Realtors®️ day to day business and profession, as well as new updates that are impacting the local real estate industry. Moderated by Douglas Tomson, there town hall meeting had a Q & A session addressing professionalism, Realtor® safety and bringing to the forefront the Prescription Drug Awareness program to help fight the opioid crisis in New Jersey.

Among the panel of speakers were, Ilene Horowitz, 2019 President, Angela Sicoli, 2019 President-Elect, Jeffrey Jones, 1st Vice President, Nick Manis, Treasurer, and Christian Schlueter, Immediate Past President.
